It has been determined that some factors secreted by cells called platelets, which provide coagulation, stimulate tissue and healing. Especially the substance called PDGF found in these cells has a great reparative effect. Plasma obtained from a person's blood contains 10 times more platelets than normal blood. If this plasma is injected into damaged areas of the skin, it shows a stimulating and reparative effect.
The logic of the PRP process is tissue stimulation. The stimulated old and worn tissue begins to renew itself. The renewing factors in the PRP method are some substances called growth factors. These substances are found in abundance in blood cells called platelets.

The PRP method is the process of obtaining these cells and delivering them to the tissue. Especially the stimulating factors called PDGF, TGF, and VEGF are beneficial in tissue rejuvenation. In other words, it is not the blood or the cells in the blood that provide rejuvenation, but the substances within the cell. This method is based on the logic of breaking down the cells given in a different way from the cell injection technique and releasing the beneficial substances inside. At least 8 cc of blood is taken. This blood undergoes a centrifuge process in a special solution. After about 10 minutes, platelets are obtained in the form of a yellowish liquid. The obtained liquid is injected with fine needles very close to the skin surface in areas where rejuvenation is desired. The injected area can be numbed with creams. A course is required for effect. A course of treatment is 4 applications every 2 weeks. One course per year is recommended. It is necessary to be realistic about the rejuvenation to be achieved with platelets.

The goal should be skin with a healthier and fresher appearance. It is effective on superficial wrinkles. The effect here is not to eliminate wrinkles by filling as in fillers, but by rejuvenating. The method cannot replace cellular rejuvenation. Fat cells rich in stem cells are the most important step of cellular rejuvenation. PRP can be combined with fat cells rich in stem cells. PRP is not a stem cell method.
