This text has been prepared in accordance with the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK). It explains how the personal data of individuals who apply to, are examined by, or visit the Prof. Dr. Ahmet Karacalar Clinic or our website are collected, processed, and protected.

4. Data Collection Method and Legal Basis
Your personal data is collected verbally or in writing during examinations, via the website, email, WhatsApp and social media channels, and through automated or non-automated camera systems.
The grounds for processing under Articles 5 and 6 of the KVKK (Turkish Personal Data Protection Law) are as follows:
- Your explicit consent
- It is essential for the provision of healthcare services.
- Fulfillment of legal obligation
- Protecting public health and providing medical diagnosis, treatment, and care services.
5. Parties to Whom Data May Be Transferred
Your personal data may be shared with the following parties only for the purposes stated above:
- Ministry of Health, Social Security Institution and authorized public institutions
- Competent judicial and administrative authorities
- Laboratory, imaging center and medical device suppliers
- Information technology and secure cloud service providers
- When it comes to international data transfer (via WhatsApp, email platforms, etc.), sharing with relevant parties may be done with your explicit consent.
6. Information about Communication via WhatsApp
Personal data (name, surname, contact information, appointment information, health information, photo, video) that you share via WhatsApp at 0 (530) 293 44 84 is processed solely for appointment and preliminary information purposes. WhatsApp is an application operated by Meta Platforms Inc. and hosted on servers abroad; therefore, your data may be transferred abroad. This channel is optional; you can also contact our clinic by phone or email.
7. Data Retention Period
Patient records must be at least as required by relevant legislation. 10 years Data is stored for a specified period. After this period, the data is deleted, destroyed, or anonymized in accordance with our periodic data destruction policy.
8. Your Rights as a Data Subject
In accordance with Article 11 of the KVKK (Turkish Personal Data Protection Law), you have the following rights:
- To find out whether your personal data is being processed.
- If it has been processed, request information about it.
- To understand the purpose of the processing and whether it is being used for that purpose.
- To find out who it is transferred to, domestically or internationally.
- Requesting corrections if it is incomplete or incorrectly processed.
